Safety First

The top priority in any barn design is the safety of you and your horses!

Zero Flame Spread Rating

Fires have always been a top concern for barn owners. Our components have been certified as having only non-combustible materials by two independent engineers.

Lifetime Kick-through Warranty

Our standard stall walls are backed for a lifetime against kick through. MD’s design allows the wall to flex, absorbing the impact of the horses’ kick. Wood will splinter and break and concrete forces the leg to absorb the force. Eliminate hazards and protect your horse with MD products.

All Non-porous Materials

Reduce the build up of air-borne bacteria and molds in your barn, creating a healthier environment for your horse. Many vet clinics are turning to MD products due to the ease of cleaning and disinfecting.

Roll Formed Channels

Our Standard Heartland walls have a roll formed edge to protect your horse inside the stall. You could walk around the stall blindfolded and rub every square inch without getting pinched or scraped. That’s exactly what your horse will do, less the blindfold!

Built to Last

Oversized Stalls

Full 12’1 x 12’1 stalls eliminate the need to trim down your stall mats. You get an additional 8 sq ft more than with other barns who use a nominal 11’9 x 11’9 or “on center” spacing!

Grillwork

Stall front grillwork features 1-3/8” diameter, .055 wall thickness and galvanized steel work on the upper half. This increases air flow and visibility through the barn.

Stall Doors

The standard stall door is a 49” wide sliding stall door mounted on two factory sealed 4-truck bearings offering years of smooth operation. The upper portion is grilled and the lower section is solid. The latch is comprised of a pull-down bar on the grilled upper section providing one-handed operation and excellent security. Many options are available, such as Yoke top, Dutch and Tongue & Groove. Mix and match as needed!

Full Welds

All grillwork has a full 360 degree weld to resist moisture in the wall. Welds are then treated with a zinc-based primer and painted galvanized to resist rust and corrosion.

Feed Door

Our 2’ x 4’ solid, swing open feed door is welded in place with a full piano hinge. It's large size allows you to easily dump feed into the stall from the aisle.

Flush Mount Latches

Feed doors, water bucket doors and hinged doors have a custom MD-designed flush-mount door latch for easy one- handed access.

Ventilation

At the rear of each stall, we have a six inch opening to allow increased air flow and cross ventilation throughout the barn.

Lined Interiors

Stall interiors are lined with a 26-gauge galvalume plus steel for a smooth finish that’s non-porous and easy to clean.

Raised Tab Weep-holes

The bottom channel of our standard walls have weep-holes to allow moisture to escape. The raised tab lifts the core material out of the channel to prevent moisture wicking up into the walls.

Bow Truss

Our bow truss roof system allows the roof to be self supporting rather than attached to the walls. When your horse kicks the stall, it doesn’t jar and eventually loosen the roof panels.

'Z' Purlins

Purlins connect to the trusses of your barn, forming a base for your roofing materials. MD uses “Z” shaped purlins, which are In line with gravity and formed to your roof pitch for maximum contact and support.
