Where
Does the Energy of a Horse's Kick Go?

MD Barns – for the safety of your
animals
With all MD made products, the force of the kick is
absorbed in the wall. The corner
connectors are bolted down, but the balance of the walls are a free floating
design. This unique design allows
the impact of the kick to be absorbed by the wall, not the horse’s leg. MD’s
lifetime kick-through warranty assures you a wall that will stand up to the power of
the kick without damaging the horse.
Concrete
Beware of concrete walls, which provide no flexibility. The rigidity of the
concrete wall can cause significant damage to the leg, which must absorb the
full impact of the kick.
Wood
Wood walls will absorb some of
the kick, however it doesn’t take as much force to break the wood.
Splintered edges can scar a horse for life and end its show career, or
worse.
