The one that started it all! When Don and Mary Lou started planning their new ranch in Auburndale, they did extensive research into their new barn. Having been in construction and around horses his whole life, Don knew quality when he saw it.
Unfortunately, there was no Florida dealership set up for MD. Don didn't let a little detail like that stop him from having the best. When the truck arrived with the materials, his son, Marty said, "Gosh, Dad! What did you buy?!?" The truck was loaded with steel components.
When they started installing the barn, everyone was impressed with the quality and materials. After seeing the completed barn, many of Don's friends wanted one as well. That's when the Knapps formed MD Building Systems.
